Job Overview A law firm seeks a Family Law Attorney for a full-time, on-site position in Palos Hills, IL. The attorney will manage a caseload focused on family law matters, including high-asset divorce, business owner representation, and child custody and support. Duties Meet with clients and provide legal advice. Develop case strategies and conduct legal research. Draft pleadings, motions, and agreements. Represent clients in court hearings, settlement conferences, and mediations. Collaborate with colleagues on complex financial and property matters. Coordinate with experts such as business valuators or financial professionals. Ensure all filings and deadlines are met. Negotiate with opposing counsel and communicate case developments to clients. Requirements Strong foundation in law and family law, with experience in divorce, custody, and related matters. Ability to provide clear, practical legal advice on complex financial and personal issues. Proficient in legal research relevant to Illinois family law. Demonstrated negotiation skills in settlements and mediation. Licensed to practice law in Illinois; in good standing with the state bar. Prior experience in litigation, including drafting pleadings and courtroom advocacy. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines. Experience with high-asset or business owner divorce is preferred. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
